Waning effect of vaccines is so well known now, it’s just accepted. Booster ineffectiveness against omicron variant is also already accepted, though they throw the old “well maybe get 2 months some infection protection”. The "but the hospital rates are soooooo much better argument” is both a binning artifact of what exactly is “unvaccinated” and the vast numbers of hospital admits that are not FOR covid, but WITH is now even making the rounds!!! My state of Massachusetts just started this week, and yes, about half are not even in hospital due to covid, but just tested that way. Another key point now conceded by the establishment:
Several countries (The UK, Ireland, others) are dropping restrictions and vaccine passport programs. It’s a route to be sure.
Which makes me even more nervous.
In a broad sense, the major nations loved the control over their people covid has afforded. Digital currency is one of the most beloved and desired ideas of governments since it became possible. Control a persons finances, you will control every aspect of their lives. Covid offered a shot. (see what I did there).
Here in the US, democrat dreams of unlimited voting for all starting in July of elections years, new green deals, dissolution of the Senate, and multi trillion dollar giveaways seemed almost in reach. And then delta variant greased the floor and now omicron has tilted the room 90 degrees.
It’s all over but the crying.

Joe Biden is sending you an N95 mask soon. If you have ever worn a real one, it’s silly for any extended use, you will see. Or you will “modify” it to make it more comfortable. Negating any good the mask can do.

Here CDC asshat director WANTS so badly to say 2 shots is now unvaccinated, but that would screw Joe Biden’s “almost all Americans are vaccinated” claim, so she dances around like a clown and uses ‘language’ changes like up to date instead:

US uptake of boosters is very poor, around 25% right now nationwide. I attribute this to 3 things:
Had a poor reaction to first time around with the vaccine, no desire to do that again
Saw people around them have very bad times with the vaccine
See everyday loads of people getting covid anyway

So what will they do? Honestly I don’t know. That’s what concerns me.
On Children
Full disclaimer: My wife and I do not have children.
I am 45 years old and about a decade ago the wife and I had the final discussion on children. For reasons that are our own and no business of yours, we decided to not have kids.
But what I see done to children over the last 2 years bothers me so much, it makes me want to fight for them. For the weak willed and easily fooled parents they have, they need help.

When you strip children and youth of everything that makes their soul shine, they will seek an escape. Drugs, alcohol, violence, or suicide. We either rise and fight for them now, or we will be “paying” for this for generations to come.

And this video breaks my heart into a million pieces. The look in this young woman’s eyes as she tells her story of loss and being defenseless, no man of conscience can allow such treatment of young people, none. Yet it goes on:
“And nobody cared! Not one person has cared about children in this whole pandemic.”
Well, we all have to live with that for the rest of time.
Which brings me to……..
What Can Be Done if We Follow the Rules and Still Get Shafted?
This section is gonna get ugly, so if your squeamish, maybe just skip to the Cultural Corner at end.

They said “go through proper channels and make changes! That’s how democracy works.” Ok, let’s take a look.
In Virginia a new Governor was elected and basically his entire platform was removing restrictions on kids. That’s really about it. He’s no MAGA Trumper. He’s not insane. He’s just a regular guy with a message that resonated. Blue Virginia (it’s Red, but the DC suburbs render it blue vote wise) said “ok, seen enough, let’s end the kid treatment”. And he won easily.
On his 1st day he signs an executive order making masks in schools a choice for parents and kids to make. You want to wear one, go right ahead, you don’t, not a problem.
Well, democracy works fine unless it’s against the democrat establishment (see election 2016), then it’s “Rule of law??? What’s that?”. See how that works?
The liberal enclave of Fairfax County in Virginia will defy the order and make kids mask up (cloth masks LOL, you know for safety). Insurrection? Not when democrats do it! LOL.
So on Monday kids that show up in masks will be suspended for the day.
Now I am getting sick of things done without a chance for me to have a vote, a say, or a fight.
Here they got a vote. Had their say. And are ignored.
So a fight then?
I guess it will go to the courts, and the Governor will win…..eventually.
But what should happen is parents should show up Monday, along with the National Guard, to enforce the “mask choice” rule. It’s now the law. Well, not a law, but that’s never mattered through all this anyway.
Understand, man’s default position is barbarism. Violence. When left with no voice, no choice, no say, and no power over one’s own life, two things can happen, one of which is violence:
The other is drugs, alcohol and depression (suicide). Did I mention excess deaths in the United States for ages 18-44 (it’s not covid!) in recent times? Or the vaccines are even more dangerous than they already are. Terrible.
I am in Blue State Massachusetts, so I don’t get a vote or say, Boston and liberal suburbs decide. Which is fine, each area to their own. But if I move and the federal system leaves me no vote, no choice, no say, well I am at least going to want to get a fight out of it.
Cultural Corner
Some books have a certain staying power. Quotes, moments one never sets aside or can even say them word for word.
For me one is a particular section in Stephen King’s short story “Rage” which is all but banned now as it features a school shooting. The shooting is an aside to the the story really, but given the modern era, I get it.
